Pensacola Swing Dance Society is a West Coast Swing dance club dedicated to continuing the growth of West Coast Swing. PSDS also hosts weekly lessons and social dances, along with bringing in world class Pro’s to share their knowledge. We can only do this with your help, so come out and DANCE with us!

Justin Grubbs and Taylor Morton created Pensacola Swing Dance Society in 2015. Both Justin and Taylor have been dancing since they were children.

Justin started line dancing and couples dancing back in 1994. Shortly there after he began competing on both the UCWDC and West Coast Swing circuit. He took his first instructor training course at 16 and taught his first group class at 17. From there he worked with Best of Dance Studio and the their non-profit group Miami Dance Machine in the early 2000’s. He has a diploma in Advanced Massage Therapy from the National School of Technology in Miami, Fl. This has assisted in his understanding of the body and the way it works. He trained in and taught all American Smooth and Rhythm dances, while also taking over the swing program at Dance Factory, the largest independent owned ballroom studio in the D.C Tri-State area at the time. He has traveled all over the country going to dance events training with top Pro’s from all around the world. Justin has multiple finals and top 5 placements all over the country In Advanced WCS Jack & Jill and Rising Star. He was also a Golden Ticket winner in 2010, which won him an invitation to compete at the US Open.

Taylor is a Pensacola native who has been doing Ballet, Modern, Tap and Jazz. since she was 5.She has a Bachelors from Marymount Manhattan in Theater Performance. She is a certified pole fitness instructor through the Elevated program at Body & Pole in Manhattan and a certified Exotic Burn instructor with Cleo’s Rock N Pole. Taylor started West Coast Swing in 2009. Taylor has several top placements in competition, including 1st place in Rising Star and Advanced Jack and Jill.

Justin and Taylor last competed in the NASDE Classic division in 2019. Both Justin and Taylor love West Coast Swing and have since turned their attention to growing the dance community and sharing their love of dance.

In 2023 Pro/Am in Paradise was born and became the first West Coast Swing dance event in Pensacola, FL.
